Jacquelyn “Jackie” Kane Snow, 57, of Brockton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was the wife of retired Brockton Fire Department Captain Thomas Goodale.

Born in Brockton on April 3, 1964, she was the daughter of Richard F. “Dick” Snow and Marjorie F. “Bunny” (Kane) Snow. Jackie was a 1982 graduate of Brockton High School.

Jackie worked as a chef in multiple locations including owning her own catering business, J Cafe, as well as running several cafes including the Fuller Art Museum, Makeovers Salon and Spa and Town River Yacht Club. Jackie put her heart and soul into her cooking and thoroughly enjoyed her passion with friends and family but anyone that was close to her knows that the camera and Facebook always had to eat first.

Jackie was known for her outgoing, never-quit personality and sharp wit but more importantly, being there for everyone in times of need or crisis. This included, but certainly not limited to, preparing a meal or dessert for a special event, having someone to enjoy a cocktail with, vent on the phone to or just plain confide in. All who knew her quickly realized Jackie’s whole life was centered around family, friends and food, and she was a firm believer in “the best way to make friends and influence people was not only through their heart but also through their stomach.”

In addition to Thomas, Jackie is survived by her sons Michael D’Alessandro and his wife Tara and Brockton Firefighter Chris D’Alessandro; her brother Richard K. “Rick” Snow and his wife Linda; and her canine companions Piper Cub and Maybelle Tucker. She was also the sister of the late Michael K. “Mike” Snow.
