Bill Cobb

William L. Cobb “Billy” age 59, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Born in Stoughton and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late William L. Cobb (Ret. BFD) and Linda J. (Farrell) Cobb.

Billy was a graduate of Brockton High School and later graduated from Massasoit Community College, earning an associate degree in law enforcement. He also obtained certificate from the National Association of Corrosive Engineers and was a certified personal trainer. Billy worked for the Brockton School Department for the last couple of years and loved the students and staff of East Junior High School. William’s interests include horseback riding, jet skiing, and spending time with his family and good friends, who he also considered family. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. Billy was compassionate, helpful to others and always putting others before himself, enjoyed dining out, his BMW, loved to dance, and had a soft spot for animals. Mr. Cobb certainly had the Irish "gift of gab" that endeared him to strangers he would meet, often resulting in new friends. Handsome, gregarious, and hard-working, Billy left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A loyal friend, Billy, would drop everything to assist anyone that asked him for help or any injured animal he came across.

He is survived by a sister, Heidi Cobb Higuera and her husband Alan of Holbrook; a brother, Michael Cobb and his wife Kristen of Middleboro; nieces and nephew, Mickayla Cobb, Hannah Cobb, and Liam Cobb; and many cousins and lifelong friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the funeral home at 10:00 am, followed by interment with military honors in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, donations MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 in his memory would be appreciated.
