Paul A. McLaughlin

Paul A. McLaughlin, age 53, of Whitman, died October 9, 2016, surrounded by his family at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich. Paul was the loving husband for 32 years of Lisa M. (Roberts) McLaughlin. Born in Boston, he was the son of Dianne L. (Crocker) McLaughlin of Brockton and the late Paul McLaughlin. Paul was a 1982 graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed by the Whitman Public School Department and Vader Percussion. He had been a longtime bowler at Timber Lanes and member of the Whitman VFW softball team. Paul was the father of Patrick McLaughlin and his wife Katie of Whitman and Paul J. Orum and his wife Bin of Quincy; grandfather of Collin P. McLaughlin; brother of Lille Mann, Thomas McLaughlin and his wife Linda and Dwayne King and his wife Rochelle, all of Brockton, Patty Thompson of Dorchester, Joseph, Matthew and Donald McLaughlin all of Fall River; son-in-law of Wilfred E. Roberts of Whitman; and brother-in-law of Alta Roberts of Taunton, Avis Roberts of Whitman, Debra Schnyer and her husband Jack of West Yarmouth, and Frederick Roberts and his wife Flo of Dover, N.H. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
