David C. Caldwell, 51, of Boston, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly on September 28, 2015. Born September 22, 1964, in Boston, he was the son of the late George J. Caldwell and Winnifred E. (Mahoney) Caldwell. He was raised in Brockton with his family and was an exceptional athlete playing hockey for Brockton High in the 1980s, and an avid golfer winning the Brockton City 4 Ball in 1992. He was a licensed plumber and pipefitter. He is survived by his 3 children, Christine Caldwell of Brockton, Stephanie Caldwell of South Boston, and Sean Caldwell of Brockton; his brother, Brian Caldwell of Norton; his niece, Amanda Caldwell of Brockton; his brother, Steven Caldwell of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and his former wife, Juli Caldwell of Brockton. Following cremation, a memorial gathering was held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Father Bills & Main Spring development office, 422 Washington Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
